Join the Coalition To Prevent Lead Poisoning And Keep Our Community Healthy

When you give to the Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning, you're joining hundreds of supporters who all share the same conviction -- childhood lead poisoning can and must end.

The risk of lead exposure remains high in Monroe County, particularly from lead-based paint. Nearly 68% of homes here were built before 1978, and in 2024 alone, 299 local children were diagnosed with elevated blood lead levels. These numbers represent real families, real challenges, and an urgent need for action.

Rochester is recognized nationally for its leadership in lead poisoning prevention, yet too many children are still being harmed. More families are seeking help, and the need for prevention, education, and advocacy continues to grow. That’s why your support matters now more than ever.

Your donation will help us reach more families in 2026 by funding public education and training, community messaging campaigns, advocacy to advance critical state and local policies, and partnerships that strengthen and expand our coalition.

With your support we can reach more families and move closer to a future where every child grows up in a healthy, lead-free environment.
