Join Us for WAVEMAKERS - A Night of Inspiration, Celebration, and Giving Back

Just as no two fingerprints are alike, no two Wavemakers are either. But they share attributes. Like knowing grit is a good thing. Lifting people up by never backing down. Stirring the pot to fuel progress. Moving others forward by giving back. Out stubborning stubborn.

On behalf of Causewave Community Partners, our 2023 WAVEMAKERS Celebration sponsors, and the W.B. Potter Society, we invite you to join us as we celebrate the wavemakers among us, and honor this year’s award winners.

About the venue: We are thrilled to gather in the grand ballroom of Arbor Midtown (which you know as the historic Lincoln-Alliance Bank building.) It’s an inspiring example of reinvention in the heart of our community.

Why we celebrate: Wavemaking isn't always visible, but it is always felt by those whose lives are made better for it. Wavemaking isn’t easy, but it’s necessary. And though it’s often done in phases and stages, it’s never ending. Because wave making is within you. So thank you, and know that we have your back. Without you, meaningful change is just a dream.

About the Awards: Each of our signature awards symbolizes a different aspect of our collective impact.:

Lantern Award: honors the extraordinary efforts of an individual volunteer
Chairman's Award: pays tribute to acts of support that have made a significant difference
Spark Award: recognizes the outstanding achievements of an individual under 40 who has ignited change
Beacon Award: recognizes corporate support that has been a guiding light throughout the year
W.B. Potter Founder's Award: celebrates collaborative, results-oriented community projects
Legacy Award: recognizes a former Lantern Award winner who have continued to demonstrate extraordinary commitment to the organization.

Attire: Business Casual

Seating: Whether you're part of a table or purchased an individual ticket, we aim to make you comfortable. For individual ticket holders, a variety of spaces will be available during the program ranging from cozy couches to high top standing areas. If you have any concerns, reach out or let a staff member know the night of.

Parking: Complimentary valet parking is available at the corner of E. Main Street and Stone St. Self parking is also available in the Stone St. Garage (rates apply) which is directly next to Arbor Midtown.
