100% of proceeds go directly to Causewave Community Partners and their work with the Rochester City School District.

Why does your attendance at this event matter?

· More than 33% of students are chronically absent – which means they miss two or more days every month of the school year.

· Chronic absenteeism is directly linked to poor performance in every measure of student achievement.

· Every dollar made goes directly to Causewave Community Partners and their work to improve attendance and student performance in the RCSD.

Why does the work you'll be supporting matter?

· It educates parents, so they understand the critical link between early grade attendance and the long-term success of their child.

· Its increasing programmatic supports to help parents overcome barriers that might prevent kids from getting to school like transportation, a problem at home, or lack of warm winter clothing.

· We already know it's working! Over the first two years of the initiative, there has been a 20% reduction in the number of chronically absent students across all RCSD elementary schools, meaning 1,700 fewer students were chronically absent.

Help Causewave do more. Help student performance in the RCSD improve. And laugh until your belly aches while you do it. Hope to see you there!

Event generously hosted & organized by Causewave volunteer, Liz Chatterton.
